ME News, April 23 (UTC+8), a female corporate financial officer in her 20s in South Korea was sentenced to three years in prison by the Busan District Court for embezzling company funds to invest in cryptocurrencies. The court found that between 2021 and 2025, she transferred company funds to her personal account approximately 680 times, embezzling a total of about 570 million won, and used the funds for cryptocurrency investments, overseas travel, and living expenses; she also forged the company's deposit trust balance certificate to conceal the crime.
