TH short position trapped by 80 points! Smart money's cards exposed, can the 1551 shorts still fight back?

A fan's ETH short at 1551 is trapped at 1630, with 80 points of floating loss causing concern. But don't rush to cut losses, let's let the data speak.

Smart money shows: profitable positions 1.18B, profit ratio 85%; losing positions 410M. Long/short ratio is only 34%, shorts are still the main force. A whale long position of 120k ETH is floating a loss of $77 million, and adding margin in the early morning shows that bottom-fishing risk is extremely high; a rebound is not a reversal.

Liquidation map key levels: Break above 1653, short liquidations reach $485 million; break below 1497, long liquidations $194 million. You are only 23 points away from 1653, this is a danger zone.

Unwind strategy: Three steps

Step 1: Don't rush to cut losses. The 1630 level is a short-term support area; as long as it doesn't effectively break below 1552, the bearish trend remains intact.

Step 2: Set a stop-loss. If the price breaks above 1653 and holds, unconditionally stop out — that's the shorts' liquidation cluster zone; holding on will only trap you deeper.

Step 3: Take profit in batches. If the price falls again, 1600 is the first target, 1550 is the second target. When the target is reached, at least halve your position; don't let profits slip away again.

Remember: The one who buys is a student, the one who sells is a master. The bearish trend is not over, but volatility is high. If you want to know the specific timing to add positions and reversal points, leave a comment below, and Jinyao will take you through the bull and bear markets.

I agree that the bearish trend hasn't been broken, but now with such violent volatility, taking profits in batches is much smarter than holding on stubbornly.

The one who knows how to sell is the master. That's painful. Last time I didn't take profit and gave it all back. This time I'll follow your advice.
