Thailand SEC plans to revise derivative business licensing rules and open applications related to digital assets.

ME News, April 23rd (UTC+8), the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission has released a consultation paper proposing amendments to derivatives business licensing rules. The amendments would allow digital asset companies to apply for derivatives trading business with digital assets as the underlying asset without having to set up a new company, and allow investors to use related contracts for risk management. It also plans to strengthen financial and regulatory standards for exchanges and clearing houses, and require the establishment of conflict of interest prevention mechanisms.
