Reference APR (Annual Percentage Rate): While 12.63% APR is stated, Gate's own materials mention an APR of ~13.61% for on-chain staking. Gate adjusts the rate daily based on the remaining reward budget and total effective USD1 assets.

Interest begins accruing the day after you initiate the staking process.

Rewards are distributed daily and automatically in USD1.

There is no lock-up period. You can withdraw your assets at any time; funds become available for use the following day.

To calculate rewards, Gate takes snapshots of your USD1 balance across your Trading/Spot/Futures accounts 24 times a day and calculates the average asset amount. Tokens held in flexible or fixed savings accounts are not included in this calculation.

Soft staking: Up to 8% APR.

On-chain staking: Up to 10% APR according to some announcements, though the currently advertised yield is higher—approximately 13.61% APR.

USD1 Dual Yield Plans: A flexible plan offering an additional 10% APY (Annual Percentage Yield) or a 7-day fixed-term plan with 8% APY.

Important points to know before staking

1. Difference between APR and APY: APR refers to simple interest, while APY refers to compound interest. Daily compounding means that if you keep your rewards staked, the actual return will be slightly higher than the APR. 2. The rate is not fixed: The annual yield may fluctuate based on participation and on-chain returns. The 10.69% or 12.63% rate you see today could decrease.
