ME News: On April 23 (UTC+8), AWS partnered with the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering to announce the launch of a database for AI/ML antibody design, aimed at accelerating the discovery of therapeutic antibodies. The database systematically integrates information such as antibody sequences, structures, and functional characteristics, aiming to address the key bottleneck of high-quality data required for AI model training and provide standardized resources for researchers. The article argues that the database leverages AWS's cloud infrastructure and Johns Hopkins' bioengineering expertise, with the goal of establishing an open resource to promote AI-based antibody engineering and help faster development of innovative therapies for infectious diseases, cancer, and other conditions.
