There are probably too many people shorting. So they kick off some kind of punitive funding rate, pushing everyone to go long. But even if you go long, you just fall into the traps set by dirty players—what they want is for lots more people to go long so they can distribute and dump. When there are more shorts, they keep the price propped up at a high level, collect the funding fees, and they don’t lose either way. A great script, great tactics.
