Mark Zuckerberg reportedly wants Meta to build a prediction markets app called Arena.

That caught my attention.

Not because Meta is launching another app.

But because Meta already owns some of the biggest platforms on the internet.

When a company of that size starts moving into a new category, it’s worth asking why.

A few years ago, prediction markets were mostly a niche corner of crypto.

Today, platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi are handling billions of dollars in volume and attracting millions of users.

People often think prediction markets are about betting.

I think they’re about something bigger.

They’re a way to measure what people actually believe, not just what they post online.

The internet spent the last two decades rewarding attention.

The next decade might reward accuracy.

Maybe that’s why Meta is paying attention.

And if prediction markets continue growing from here, we may look back at this moment as the point when they stopped being a crypto experiment and started becoming part of the mainstream internet.

#Polymarket.
