I Didn't Plan on Buying GENIUS, But Here We Are 😅

On 24 June 2026, I decided to add GENIUS to my spot portfolio. Unlike some of my larger positions, this was one of those trades where I saw an opportunity and thought it was worth taking a chance on.

Every investor has trades like that.

Sometimes you spend weeks researching before entering. Other times, you come across a project that catches your attention, and after doing your homework, you decide it's worth a place in your portfolio.

That's exactly how I felt when I opened this position.

At the time, I was optimistic about the future and excited to see how the trade would develop. Like most traders, I imagined checking my portfolio later and seeing the position comfortably in profit.

The market, however, had its own plans.

Today, GENIUS is trading around $0.3986. The position is currently showing a small decline, and if I were to close it today, I would not get the outcome I originally hoped for.

Am I disappointed? A little.

Surprised? Not really.

One thing I've learned from being in the market is that price movements rarely follow our personal expectations. Sometimes assets move quickly. Sometimes they move slowly. And sometimes they spend a long period doing almost nothing before making their next major move.

That's why I've chosen not to overreact.

I've realized that constantly watching every candle doesn't change the outcome. It usually just creates unnecessary stress. Instead, I've been focusing on the bigger picture and reminding myself why I entered the position in the first place.

The truth is, investing isn't only about finding winners. It's also about learning how to handle uncertainty. Anyone can stay confident when everything is green. The real challenge comes when things aren't moving the way you expected and you still have to trust your process.

This GENIUS position has become one of those lessons.

Some days I look at it and wish the price was higher. Other days I simply remind myself that markets move in cycles and patience often matters more than perfect timing.

Right now, the position isn't delivering the result I originally imagined, but that doesn't mean the story is over. Every open trade still has future chapters waiting to be written.

For now, I'm staying patient, keeping my emotions under control, and allowing the market time to decide where this journey goes next.

Position Snapshot

• Current Price: $0.3986

• Status: Still Holding 💎

• Current Result: Slightly Negative

Final Thought:

The market has a funny way of teaching patience. Sometimes the best lessons come from positions that don't immediately reward you. Whether this trade becomes a big success or simply another valuable experience, I'm choosing to stay focused, keep learning, and trust the process. After all, every investor's journey is built one position at a time. 🚀✨
