Two important pieces of news arrived today:
1) The Ethereum Foundation is laying off 20% of its staff (54 people) and restructuring the foundation to a new ecosystem management model.
2) The Ethereum Foundation is cutting its expenses by 40%.
The ETH Foundation is indeed experiencing funding issues, and they urgently need to address them. The project is unprofitable.
