Their cost basis is approximately $74,800, and the current average unrealized loss is 14.4%, down from 34% at the beginning of February. The short-term holder cost basis has fallen from $95,700 to $74,800, indicating that some short-term holders have accumulated positions during the decline, lowering the average cost. During this cycle, the peak of unrealized profits for short-term holders occurred in March 2024, reaching 47%; while in October 2025, when Bitcoin reached a new all-time high, the profit rate was only 11%.
