Tonight’s other Group B match is Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Qatar. Although it may not draw as much attention as Canada vs Switzerland, this game is just as important for qualification.
Qatar’s form in their first two matches has been disappointing: they first drew 1-1 with Switzerland, then were hammered 6-0 by Canada. They currently have only 1 point and are significantly behind on goal difference. To keep their qualification hopes alive, they basically have only one route—winning all 3 points. Qatar has decent technical ability and possession control, but defensive problems are very obvious, and they often leave gaps when facing fast counterattacks.
Bosnia, meanwhile, drew 1-1 with Canada in their opening match, then were beaten 4-1 by Switzerland in their second. They also currently have only 1 point. However, Bosnia holds advantages in physical duels, aerial contests, and set pieces. As long as they can seize opportunities inside the penalty area, it will put considerable pressure on Qatar’s back line.
In terms of how the match may play out, Qatar will most likely take the initiative to attack, because a draw is almost meaningless. Bosnia, on the other hand, could look to create chances to break through by using counterattacks and set pieces. Since neither team’s defense looks solid, the game has good potential to produce plenty of goals.
## Match Highlights
* Qatar is fighting for survival and must win.
* Bosnia are stronger in size and ability in the air.
* Both defenses have vulnerabilities, so the chances of goals are not low.
## Predicted Score
* Bosnia and Herzegovina 2:1 Qatar
* Conservative prediction: 2:2 Draw
## Betting Direction Reference
* Over 2.5 goals
* Both teams to score (BTTS)
* Bosnia unbeaten is the better direction
Based on their current form, I think Bosnia has a slight edge. If Qatar want to pull off an upset win, they must first fix the problem of having too many defensive errors.
