Google partners with Blackstone to develop new cloud services based on proprietary AI chips

AIMPACT News, May 20 (UTC+8), 2026, Google announced a partnership with Blackstone to jointly create a new AI cloud business that will be built around Google's self-developed AI chips. Blackstone will provide $5 billion in initial equity capital and become the majority shareholder of the business.
