ME AI News, May 20 (UTC+8), Google DeepMind officially released the new generation model series Gemini 3.5 today, and launched Gemini 3.5 Flash first. The official states that this model combines "cutting-edge intelligence" with "action capability," focusing on AI agents and programming scenarios, capable of handling complex, long-term tasks.

Gemini 3.5 Flash is now available to users worldwide, accessible through the Gemini App, Google Search AI Mode, Google AI Studio, Android Studio, and the enterprise platform Gemini Enterprise. Google also revealed that Gemini 3.5 Pro has been deployed internally and is expected to be officially launched next month.

According to data released by Google, Gemini 3.5 Flash outperforms Gemini 3.1 Pro in intelligent agent and programming benchmarks such as Terminal-Bench 2.1, GDPval-AA, MCP Atlas, and achieves 84.2% in the multimodal understanding test CharXiv Reasoning. Google states that its output speed is four times faster than other cutting-edge models.

Google emphasizes that the core capability of 3.5 Flash lies in "long-term intelligent agent tasks," including automatic planning, multi-step execution, tool invocation, and deploying multiple collaborative sub-agents. The official states that development, auditing, or financial processes that previously took days or even weeks can now be completed in a shorter time, often at less than half the cost of other leading models.

In terms of commercial deployment, companies such as Shopify, Salesforce, Macquarie Bank, Ramp, Databricks, Xero, and others have begun testing or deploying Gemini 3.5 Flash.

Google also announced a new personal AI agent built on Gemini 3.5 Flash called "Gemini Spark." The official states that this product can assist users with digital tasks around the clock and proactively execute tasks with user authorization. Currently, Gemini Spark is open to some test users and plans to release a beta version to US Google AI Ultra subscription users next week.

Additionally, Gemini 3.5 Flash is now the default model for Gemini App and Google Search AI Mode, supporting the generation of more dynamic, interactive web UI interfaces. (Source: Google)
