Purchased 52,203 ETH, Bitmine Has Taken Control of 4.7% of the Global ETH Supply
Bitmine announced in its official release that its crypto assets, cash, and corporate investments now total $10.7 billion as of Monday (6/22). This value is supported by 5,672,956 ETH worth $8.2 billion, after the company bought an additional 52,203 ETH in the past week. Thanks to this move, Bitmine now controls 4.7% of the total global ETH supply and solidifies its position as the number one Ethereum treasury in the world.
In addition to its Ethereum holdings, Bitmine's portfolio also includes 205 Bitcoin, investments in Eightco Holdings and Beast Industries, and cash balances of $601 million. Bitmine Chairman Thomas "Tom" Lee explained that out of the total ETH owned, 4.7 million tokens have been allocated to staking programs through the institutional platform MAVAN. The allocation of these assets is projected to generate an annual return of up to $223 million to strengthen the company's long-term liquidity.
Tom Lee stated that the accumulation steps throughout 2026 are on the right momentum.
"The best future for crypto still lies ahead, in our view. Tokenization and rapid advancements in AI are expected to drive exponential growth in demand for blockchain and decentralized crypto," he said.
