According to Bloomberg, the Trump administration announced on June 23rd that it will provide $17.5 billion in low-interest loans to support the construction of 10 new nuclear reactors in the United States. The program aims to shorten the development cycle of nuclear projects by up to three years and address the rising electricity demand caused by the rapid expansion of AI data centers. The first batch of new reactors is expected to begin operation in 2035.
