ME News report: On June 23 (UTC+8) at the ISC High Performance Computing Conference held in Hamburg, Germany, the latest editions of the global supercomputer rankings TOP500 and the energy-efficiency ranking Green500 were officially released. The data shows that NVIDIA technology has powered more than 400 of the world’s 500 fastest supercomputers, accounting for 81%, and nearly 90% of the newly listed systems.

In terms of hardware distribution, there are 376 systems on the list that use NVIDIA networking technology, 238 systems are accelerated by its GPUs, and another 26 systems use the Grace CPU. In the Green500 ranking that measures green energy efficiency, the top 8 are all driven by NVIDIA GPUs, with the KAIROS system based on the Grace Hopper superchip taking first place. In addition, supercomputing systems based on the new Blackwell architecture (B200 and GB200) have also entered this year’s rankings for the first time. (Source: ChainCatcher)
