CryptoWorld News reports that Wu has learned that StarkWare, the development company behind StarkNet, has released a demonstration of private KYC with strk20, exploring how to implement confidential on-chain identity verification on StarkNet. The solution allows users to scan their passports with their phones and read NFC chips, then encrypt and bind their identity information to their StarkNet account, and use zero-knowledge proofs to submit specific attributes to the chain, such as whether they are over 18 years old. Institutions can verify whether accounts meet qualification requirements without holding complete identity data such as user names, birth dates, nationalities, or document numbers. StarkWare states that this solution is currently a working demonstration aimed at showcasing zk identity applications to government and institutional teams.
