Crypto World News reports that, according to PYMNTS, Federal Reserve Board Governor Christopher Waller stated in his opening speech at the 5th "International Role of the US Dollar" conference that this year's conference will discuss the impact of digital assets such as stablecoins on the international role of the US dollar. He said that distributed ledger technology and tokenized assets like stablecoins are creating new global dollar intermediary channels and may operate alongside or in conjunction with traditional banking and payment systems. The private sector is also rapidly expanding the availability of dollar-denominated assets.
