Able to understand the embarrassment of being broke, able to comprehend the arrogance of the newly rich, able to imagine the shortsightedness of a frog in a well, and more tolerant of boastful pretenders' external strength and internal weakness, and better understand all this ignorance, prejudice, vanity, arrogance, and inferiority. Do not envy the rich, do not mock the poor, do not deceive or cheat, do not be humble or arrogant.
Wherever life takes you on the steps, someone above looks down on you, someone below looks up to you. So, bow your head in contentment, lift your head in humility, but only by looking straight can you see yourself.
May we neither look up nor look down, quietly walking our own path, with a peaceful heart, through the highs and lows of life.
