The whole society is trying to find ways to manage the assets that already exist.
The prosperity of a society essentially depends on two forces: the force of creating assets, and the force of distributing assets.
When creating assets > distributing assets, society prospers.
When creating assets ≈ distributing assets, society stagnates.
When distributing assets > creating assets, society declines.
