ME News message: On June 22 (UTC+8), Taiko posted on the X platform stating that it has confirmed that Taiko’s chain state verification mechanism has been compromised, and that the security assumptions for all cross-chain bridges deployed on Taiko are no longer reliable. Taiko is coordinating with the security committee and ecosystem partners to manage the situation, suspend the affected systems, and take technical and legal actions. Taiko strongly recommends that all users immediately withdraw funds from all cross-chain bridges deployed on Taiko. Taiko urgently requests that all centralized exchanges suspend TAIKO token deposits until official notice is received. The attacker’s address has been published. Previously, it was reported that Taiko’s ERC20 Vault was attacked, with losses exceeding $1 million. (Source: ChainCatcher)
