It's been fun seeing left wing Seattle residents share pictures and commentary of the World Cup.

TLDR: "See, the right wing is wrong, Seattle is so awesome."
Yeah.
It's awesome when you actually:
Clean up the downtown.
Put resources into ensuring everyone has a nice time. Export the fent zombies elsewhere.
Late-night police presence in dangerous zones
It's the best week Seattle has had in a decade+.
It's too bad we only do this stuff "when company is coming"
The WC will end, the grime will return, no one will want to go downtown again, and it will somehow be the right wing's fault for noticing that there are issues.
Beautiful city, terrible management.
