Ten thousand yuan invested in SOL is attractive, but investing in CORE is betting on a future.
"Isn't investing ten thousand yuan in SOL appealing? Why throw it away on water?"—this sounds reasonable, but it might miss the most critical issue: SOL is certainty, CORE is possibility.
1. This makes sense, but the reasoning is incomplete.
People who say "Isn't investing ten thousand yuan in SOL appealing?" have clear logic:
1. SOL is the second major public chain, technically mature, with a thriving ecosystem, recognized by institutions.
2. Buying SOL with ten thousand yuan probably won't lose everything, and might even increase by 20-30%.
3. What is CORE? It has fallen 99% from its high, and could go to zero at any time.
From a certainty perspective, this statement is not wrong.
But it overlooks a core issue: buying SOL with ten thousand yuan, even if it doubles, only becomes twenty thousand. Earning ten thousand yuan doesn't change much. But buying CORE with ten thousand yuan, if it really succeeds, could be ten times, fifty times, or a hundred times more.
2. The definition of "throwing money away" depends on your perspective.
For some people, ten thousand yuan is living expenses, and losing it would cause long-term pain.
For others, ten thousand yuan is extra money, and losing it doesn't affect their life.
If you're the former, you definitely shouldn't buy CORE. Buying SOL, BTC, or ETH is more appropriate.
But if you're the latter, buying CORE with ten thousand yuan isn't "throwing money away," it's "buying a lottery ticket that could change your fate."
3. The highest risk also offers the highest reward.
"Highest risk, just because you think its price is very low and hope it can multiply dozens or hundreds of times"—this statement is only half true.
Indeed, many people buy CORE because it's cheap, dreaming of a hundredfold increase.
But what makes CORE different from a pure "zero coin" is:
1. It has its own public chain, with its own consensus mechanism (Satoshi Plus).
2. Bitcoin miners are protecting it (998 EH/s hash power delegated).
3. Staking volume is at an all-time high (305.7 million CORE locked).
4. Ecosystems like SatPay and Z Protocol are being implemented.
It has fundamentals, not just air. Although the risk is high, it's not the same as a "pure pump-and-dump."
4. SOL and CORE are not mutually exclusive.
Investing ten thousand yuan in SOL and ten thousand yuan in CORE is not an either/or choice.
You can allocate 80% to high-certainty assets like SOL and BTC, and 20% to high-risk lottery tickets like CORE. If you win, that 20% could turn into 200%; if you lose, it won't break you.
This is asset allocation, not "throwing money away."
5. Who says it's "throwing money away"?
People who call CORE "throwing money away" are usually two types:
1. Experienced investors who have been trapped and deeply dislike altcoins.
2. People who have never bought altcoins and only look at candlestick charts.
They may not be wrong, but they might not be suitable for you. What type of investor are you? How much loss can you tolerate? How much do you want to earn? Only you can answer these questions.
6. Summary
🧠 Buying SOL with ten thousand yuan is investing; earning is certainty.
Buying CORE with ten thousand yuan is betting on a possibility; earning is a big hit.
You don't have to choose; you can do both.
Use spare money to buy things that could change your life—even if they mostly turn out to be water, what if they succeed?
