According to the New York Post, the reward feature introduced by meme-coin platform Pump fun has sparked controversy. The feature allows users to post tasks and reward the person who completes them with cryptocurrency. Since it went live on June 4, more than $370,000 in rewards have been issued, and there are still about 270 open bounties, with over $200,000 awaiting claim. The report says some tasks include getting a forehead tattoo, putting your face in a toilet and flushing it, publicly resigning on video, and even climbing Mount Everest—dangerous or humiliating content. A Filipino man received a $15,000 crypto reward for tattooing “bounty fun” on his forehead.
