Ethereum (ETH) reached its all-time high in user numbers, transactions, and data transfer speeds during the first quarter of 2026, according to the quarterly ecosystem report released by Token Terminal. These figures indicate what analysts have described as a critical acceleration after several quarters of slow growth.

The average number of monthly active users on the main Ethereum network was 13.2 million in the first quarter, an 85.9% increase year-over-year and a 53.5% rise from the previous quarter. The number of transactions reached 200.4 million during the quarter, marking the first time Ethereum has surpassed this threshold in a single quarter. Data transfer rates rose to a record level of 25.78 transactions per second, a 41.2% increase from Q4 2025.

On an annual basis, the picture is equally impressive. Transactions increased by 81.5%, and network productivity grew by 81.7% compared to Q1 2025, according to Token data.
