Bitcoin’s scaling behavior requires people to change the way they think about the world.

It is a deep phenomenon, and it has been scientifically validated. It is not something made up or imposed on the data.
But to understand it, even at a superficial level, you need to be comfortable with several concepts: order-of-magnitude reasoning, statistics, error theory, monetary history, network effects, and the behavior of complex systems.
Understanding the power law means understanding Bitcoin at a deeper level, beyond the basic fundamentals most Bitcoiners already know.
Those fundamentals are essential, of course: decentralization, proof of work, fixed supply, self-custody, censorship resistance.
But if you really want to understand Bitcoin as a living, evolving system, you also need to understand its scaling behavior.
The power law is not a side detail. It is one of the clearest mathematical signatures of what Bitcoin is becoming.
