Everyone’s staring at the ETH chart today but one stat caught my attention more than the price.

Since the start of 2026, 19 key and senior employees have reportedly left the Ethereum Foundation.
Does that mean Ethereum is in trouble? Not necessarily. But when leadership turnover starts piling up, markets pay attention. In crypto, confidence often moves before fundamentals do.
ETH is already dealing with pressure from a slower narrative cycle, tougher competition across L1s, and traders constantly rotating capital into whatever is moving faster.
The bigger risk isn't the departures themselves. It's the uncertainty they create.
Investors can price in bad news. What they struggle to price is not knowing what comes next.
For now, the chart is weak, sentiment is cautious, and traders are watching closely to see whether this is just organizational restructuring or the start of a deeper shift inside Ethereum's core ecosystem.
Sometimes the market reacts to what happened.
Sometimes it reacts to what might happen next.
