#HoldUSD1EarnYield
I survived the yield chase. Now I'm watching everyone else make the same mistake.
When USD1 was offering yields near 20%, most people assumed those returns would last. That's how yield chasing works. We see a big number, anchor to it, and start treating it like the new normal.
But crypto doesn't work that way.
The yield has already started falling, and honestly, it was always going to. High promotional rates are designed to attract liquidity, not stay elevated forever. That's why I call this the Yield Gravity Principle: every subsidized yield eventually moves back toward sustainable market levels.
That doesn't mean USD1 is a bad opportunity.
In fact, the bullish case is still strong. USD1 has built liquidity quickly, gained support across major platforms, and still offers returns that most traditional savings products can't compete with. Even after recent reductions, many investors would happily take double-digit yields on a dollar-denominated asset.
The risk is assuming today's yield will still be here tomorrow.
That's where most people get caught.
They saw 20%, then felt disappointed when it became 15%. If it drops further, they'll feel like they're losing money even if they're still earning more than most alternatives. That's anchoring bias in action. The original number becomes the benchmark, even when market conditions have changed.
I'm not worried about yield compression. That's normal.
What I'm watching is whether USD1 can maintain demand as yields continue to decline and competition from other yield-bearing stablecoins increases. Eventually, investors stop chasing the highest number and start comparing sustainability.
My view is simple: USD1 will probably keep growing, but the yield gravity will keep pulling rates lower. That's not bearish. That's how markets work.
The investors who win won't be the ones chasing the biggest APY. They'll be the ones who understand the direction before everyone else.
For now, I'm still watching. Still earning. But I'm not pretending today's yield is permanent.
Gravity always wins.

What's your prediction? Will USD1 maintain its edge, or will yield compression continue through the rest of 2026?
