Mars Finance reports that on June 20, Tom Lee, Chairman of BitMine, the largest Ethereum treasury, responded to the matter in which “former Ethereum Foundation contributor Trent Van Epps said that the Ethereum core development ecosystem may face a funding crisis in the next 3 to 9 months,” saying, “In my opinion, the probability of ETH experiencing this ‘crisis’ is zero. The funds are already in place.”

Earlier reports said that Trent Van Epps, the former Ethereum Foundation’s core development coordination lead, stated that as the Foundation continues to advance its “Subtraction (governance by subtraction)” strategy, the treasury size gradually shrinks, and the 4-year client incentive program (CIP) expired in April this year, the Ethereum core development ecosystem may face a gradually brewing funding crisis within the next 3 to 9 months.
