Crypto news, according to criptonoticias, Peru is accelerating the development of artificial intelligence regulation, but legislation related to Bitcoin and crypto assets remains stalled. The article points out that Bill No. 1042, the "Crypto Asset Commercialization Framework Act," which was proposed to establish registration systems for crypto exchanges, has been shelved in a congressional committee. Peruvian crypto asset lawyer Adolfo Morán stated that currently, Peru does not have a general law addressing cryptocurrencies, crypto assets, or the blockchain ecosystem. The more specific regulatory action at this stage is the requirement for exchanges to register as obligated entities with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) under the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP (SBS), with the regulatory focus still mainly on anti-money laundering and risk prevention.
