The greatest loss a person can suffer is often not a lack of ability, but an imbalance of character.

People who are stubborn with their words lose because they can't let go of their pride, missing opportunities, relationships, and growth;
those who are soft-hearted lose because they can't set boundaries, bearing responsibilities and costs that don't truly belong to them.
The former are trapped by their pride, the latter by their kindness.
Truly mature people are not those who become tough or indifferent, but those who bow their heads when they should, refuse when they should,
neither driven by pride nor swept away by emotions.
