Many people think that successful individuals are just naturally smarter and more talented, so they prematurely conclude "I'm not good at this" or "I don't have talent." But what truly determines a person's growth ceiling is often not the starting point, but the rate of growth. Growth itself is uncomfortable; it is always accompanied by clumsiness, mistakes, embarrassment, and uncertainty, and these are precisely signals of expanding ability. Unfortunately, most people mistake discomfort for incompatibility, mistakes for failure, and perfection for the goal, causing them to stop when they should be growing the most. Truly impressive people are not born excellent, but become better continuously through repeated imperfections, feedback, and adjustments. Potential has never been about how strong you are now, but whether you can keep growing.
