Why do some people become more insightful as they age, while others become increasingly trapped in their own world? Essentially, people are shaped by the environment they are exposed to over the long term. Mountains make people see their own insignificance, gaining awe and perspective; learning helps break cognitive boundaries and see more possibilities; human life’s fire and smoke bring contact with genuine needs, maintaining vitality and creativity. A person's situation is often the result of the long-term environment they are in and their state of mind. Instead of waiting for opportunities, it’s better to actively enter higher-quality environments, because the environment not only changes emotions but also reshapes cognition, choices, and destiny.
