RE is the native governance token of Re Protocol. It was launched on Ethereum as an ERC-20 token on June 18, 2026. Its total supply is fixed at 1 billion RE. What is Re Protocol?

How it works?

Insurance companies pool their risks in reinsurance contracts. A Cayman Islands-based licensed reinsurer (Cover Re SPC) writes these contracts in compliance. Liquidity providers invest their stablecoins in two different tranches:

· reUSD — senior tranche, principal-protected, fixed yield
· reUSDe — secondary tranche, higher yield, higher risk

Yields range from 7-12%. The reinsurer's own equity remains below the total protocol capital — meaning the reinsurer risks its own money first.
