I remember my first big liquidation as if it happened yesterday. It seemed that the market would definitely go in my favor, so I opened an excessively large position. Within a few hours, all the profit and part of the deposit disappeared. That’s when I realized that confidence without a plan is the biggest risk in trading. Since then, I never enter a trade without a stop-loss and a clear risk calculation. The number of profitable trades has decreased, but losses stopped being catastrophic. It was the liquidation that taught me the main rule: first preserve your capital, and only then think about profit.#MyGateTradeStory
