The SEC approved the spot ETF for $ETH. While I was eating, my hand trembled as I opened a long position, and before I finished my meal, I had already gained thirty points.
Just now, that news came out, saying the SEC officially approved the Ethereum spot ETF, and the market was immediately ignited. Someone like me, who gets slapped in the face every day, the first reaction to the news was “Another fake breakout?”
As a result, $ETH climbed from 1677 all the way up, now quoting at 1708, +1.22%.
I admit, I couldn’t help myself at that moment. Eating and scrolling on my phone, I saw the possibility of staking yields being incorporated into the ETF structure being brought up again for market speculation, words like lowered institutional entry barriers jumped into my eyes, and a thought flashed in my mind: “If I don’t take this trade, I won’t sleep well tonight.”
Leverage of 16x, entry price 1677.28, now floating profit of $57.485, return rate 29.94%.
Honestly, even I think this trade was foolish. Because with how timid $ETH looked earlier, everyone thought it would lie flat until next year.
But as soon as the news came out, the candlestick chart shot up like a recovering ECG, my bowl of rice cooled halfway, and the other half was spilled from trembling hands.
The main insight I see is this: in news-driven markets, the biggest risk is hesitating until the last moment before entering. Either jump in on the first candlestick or don’t look at it at all.
That “let me see a bit more” in the middle basically means watching profits shrink or watching short positions get liquidated. I’ve suffered too many losses from this before.
Right now, around 1708 for $ETH, funding rates and volume aren’t fully supportive, but the sentiment has definitely shifted.
Institutional side: Hayes wallet holds 4,400 $ETH, BitMine spent $35.85 million to buy 20k $ETH, and there’s still a gap in target positions. On the other side, EF’s joint executive director resigned, and the departure side is still fermenting.
Under this dual tug-of-war, how far $ETH can go is much more interesting than the dull $BTC market.
Institutions are buying while the core team is leaving—just think about this script. Where do you think this capital will flow?
Do you think this wave of ETF approval will truly send $ETH soaring, or will it just rally first and then wash out?
