Golden Finance reports that Hsiao-Wei Wang, Co-Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation, issued a statement saying that after taking a leave of absence, she has decided to officially resign from her roles as Co-Executive Director and Board Member of the Ethereum Foundation, effective immediately. Wang stated that during her leave, she re-evaluated her personal priorities and future plans, and therefore decided to step back from her current position and devote more time to family and personal life.
In her statement, Wang reflected on her contributions to the Ethereum ecosystem over the past decade, emphasizing that Ethereum's true strength comes from the decentralized infrastructure maintained collectively by developers, researchers, validators, node operators, and community builders worldwide, rather than any single individual or organization. She said that although she is leaving the Foundation's management team, she will continue to support the ecosystem development as a community member in the future.
Vitalik Buterin subsequently expressed his gratitude, stating that Wang is one of the most dedicated contributors to the Ethereum ecosystem over the past ten years, not only promoting research and consensus mechanism development but also establishing an active local community in Taipei, Taiwan. Vitalik said that during a critical period of Ethereum's transformation, Wang undertook some of the Foundation's most challenging management responsibilities and completed her mission with high professionalism and prudence.
