The previous wave of $SEI was pulled up to 0.0550, and the community was full of posts showing doubled profits, with a group shouting to see 0.1.
I watched the open interest for a while, but didn’t move a finger.
It’s not fear, it’s that this kind of movement is too familiar — the faster it’s pulled up, the quicker the pullback.
$SEI has indeed surged sharply from the bottom these days, and at the 0.0550 level, open interest has been supported, but the funding rate hasn’t increased, indicating that retail traders chasing longs aren’t many, but rather some short- to medium-term funds are entering and exiting quickly.
Someone in the group @我 said: “Bro, not jumping in at 0.0550? You’re just waiting to miss out.”
I said, “You can get in, but at least wait for a pullback to confirm support.” As soon as I finished speaking, a big bearish candle directly hammered back to around 0.0530, and the group instantly went quiet.
It’s not that I’m so great; anyone can see this level: no volume on the breakout, bullish momentum is a bit lagging. The biggest fear in trading is being driven by emotion — seeing a green candle and thinking it’s about to take off, then a red candle makes you feel it’s about to zero out.
Now $SEI has returned to around 0.0540 for consolidation, which is a typical correction phase after a strong rally.
My usual habit is to wait for this range to move again; if it can hold around 0.0530 without breaking, I’ll consider a light long position. If it directly breaks below 0.052, then this wave is basically over, and there’s no need to force it.
The most tormenting thing in trading is never missing out, but the helplessness after chasing high and getting caught.
This emotion of missing out and chasing highs is actually the same risk preference being transmitted, and it shouldn’t just be seen as a headline.
$SEI , if it’s just riding the hype, not adding volume or taking on positions, $BTC/$SEI might not necessarily fall first, but altcoins, liquidity, and contract liquidations will be more likely to be amplified first. $ETH #我的Gate交易时刻 #TradFiCFD黄金大师赛
