Kentucky AG Sues Kalshi and Polymarket Over Sports Betting Claims

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman sued Kalshi, Polymarket, and VGW, alleging illegal gambling after a complaint claimed sports betting was 70% of Kalshi’s trading volume during a 2025 sample period. The complaint also claims sports wagering made up 89% of nearly $23 billion in contract volume last year. Kalshi and Polymarket said CFTC oversight governs prediction markets.
