Someone is asking me whether there are domestic alternatives for DSP chips in optical modules.

Clear answer: no, there are none domestically.
DSPs are almost monopolized by two global giants, MaxLinear and Broadcom.
DSP chips are mainly used in pluggable optical modules, from 800g to 1.6t, 3.2t, and are basically controlled by these two duopolists.
However, domestically, companies like Yutai Micro can mass-produce some low-end DSPs.
But in the process from pluggable optical modules to CPO optical co-packaging, there is an intermediate transitional solution.
Currently, LPO/NPO is an important path toward de-DSPing.
In China, there is a certain foundation in driver/TIA (SiGe process), and progress is relatively faster than DSPs.
In the TIA direction, there is a recently listed company, Youxun, which is basically the most promising in this pathway.
Just sharing logic, DYOR.
