Donald Trump’s family may get their own “crypto bank” in the USA
According to NOTUS, based on data from former OCC employees, the crypto company World Liberty Financial is almost certain to receive a national trust bank license.
One source noted that a denial of approval seems “unthinkable.”
If the license is granted, World Liberty Financial will be able to directly issue the USD1 stablecoin in the USA and conduct settlements through its own platform without intermediaries.
Some critics already point to a potential conflict of interest, as the US president’s family earns income from this project. At the same time, current OCC leadership actively approves crypto company applications and accelerates the process of obtaining banking licenses.
Thus, World Liberty Financial could become one of the first major crypto companies integrated into the US banking system.
