G7 luncheon: Altman looks delighted, Amodei appears serious
At the G7 summit AI working luncheon held in Évian, France, the United States demonstrated absolute dominance over AI technology with five seats occupied by OpenAI's Altman, Anthropic's Amodei, DeepMind's Hassabis, Scale AI's Wang, and Salesforce's Benioff; other participating countries only received one seat for their national AI leader. Altman sat to Trump's right, Hassabis sat immediately to his left, and Amodei, affected by the ban, sat directly opposite Trump, close to Macron. Public opinion believes this indicates that leading AI giants have entered the power room that determines geopolitical influence.
