$430k turned into only $6,229. Can I still break even?
A few days ago, someone asked me this question. I opened his account and went silent.
It's not slow loss; it's been a hard fight, reckless rushing and chopping it out. $ETH
SHIB peaked, full position at 10x. Then started frequent operations, dozens of trades a day, watching 1-minute K-line.
Transaction fees gnawing away at the principal, he didn't even notice.
When it drops, he adds more, with one thought in mind: Just hold on a little longer, it'll come back. $HYPE
The result is simple—no rebound came, and he exhausted himself first.
A more typical case is FOMO.
Seeing others post hundredfold gains, his hand heats up, goes all in. Wakes up the next day, and only $6,229 remains in the account.
He asks me if he can still turn it around. $CHZ
I say yes, but only if you first "become poor."
Stop using the old methods. That’s not trading; it’s emotions controlling you.
I only told him to do three things.
First, stop.
Don’t watch 1-minute charts, don’t chase back and forth, if you don’t understand, go flat.
Many people don’t lack opportunities; they just have too many hands.
Second, small positions.
No more than 10% per trade. Learn to avoid losses first, then think about making profits.
When floating gains are in place, take some off first, let the rest run.
Third, set stop-loss.
Every trade has a bottom line, cut loss at 5%.
If you make two mistakes in a row that day, stop immediately, don’t fight the market.
This method isn’t cool, even a bit cowardly, but it keeps you alive.
After two months, he slowly returned to $139.8k.
Not rich overnight, but at least not crashing anymore.
Many people’s current problem isn’t that they don’t know how to trade; it’s that they keep thinking they can hold on a little longer to break even.
But every time you hold on longer, you’re one step further from breaking even.
If you’re very confused right now, don’t rush to turn things around.
Go check your trading records, and you’ll find that money isn’t taken by the market; it’s been sent out step by step by yourself.
First, survive; then talk about doubling.
