A Pi Network update that many Pioneers are overlooking right now is the SLICE Test Token experiment and the major changes to the Pi Launchpad participation model ahead of Pi2Day (June 28). The Core Team launched SLICE on Testnet to collect real user behavior data and improve future ecosystem token launches.
Why this matters:
▫️SLICE is not meant to have value; it's a test for future ecosystem tokens.
▫️Pi Network simplified the participation process to make token launches fairer and easier.
▫️The feedback from SLICE will help shape how future projects raise attention and distribute tokens inside the Pi ecosystem.
Another under-discussed development is that Pi is preparing additional protocol upgrades and expanding smart contract functionality, while continuing second migrations and KYC improvements. The network is also testing subscription-based smart contracts and strengthening its validator ecosystem.
