Ethereum core developers have entered the final sprint phase of the next major network upgrade, "Glamsterdam." Teams have begun comprehensive testing of the forked version containing all planned Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) within closed developer network (devnets) environments. This is the last development stage before the codebase is solidified and deployed to public testnets. Parithosh Jayanthi, DevOps engineer and core developer at the Ethereum Foundation, stated that although the exact activation schedule has not yet been finalized, significant progress has been made. The upgrade is expected to go live in the second half of 2026. (CoinDesk)
