Every Empire in history eventually stagnated, became decadent and collapsed. No exception.
An echo system of many societies or states that collaborate and compete will work better.
If one unified global government stagnates and collapses, humanity is doomed.
If we have an echosystem of many independent states, where some thrive and some collapse, humanity will be better off.
