Entering the Final Phase, Glamsterdam Ethereum Upgrade Ready for Mainnet Release

Ethereum is preparing for its next major upgrade called Glamsterdam. This large-scale system update has now officially entered the final testing phase before it is officially implemented on the mainnet.
Parithosh Jayanthi from the Ethereum Foundation explained that the development team is currently conducting intensive technical testing on a simulation network or devnet. This step is a crucial stage to ensure that all new features and protocol code integrations can operate safely and stably without disrupting existing network activities.
Although the exact launch date has not been officially announced, the Glamsterdam upgrade is projected to be fully active in the second half of this year.
For the Ethereum ecosystem, Glamsterdam is a highly anticipated technological leap. The main focus of this update is to improve data processing speed and transaction cost efficiency. If successful, this upgrade will make the Ethereum network much cheaper and more user-friendly for decentralized application (dApps) users, NFT ecosystems, and the efficiency of Layer-2 (L2) networks built on top of it.
In the spot market itself, Ethereum's price movement is currently still hovering around $1,800 after experiencing consolidation in recent weeks. The momentum of this technological upgrade release is expected to serve as a positive sentiment or a strong catalyst to significantly increase network adoption, as well as push ETH prices back to break the psychological level of $2,000.
