According to a report by the French media le parisien, Crypto news outlet Coinjie.com reports that a 32-year-old man has been indicted for allegedly taking part in a violent robbery targeting cryptocurrency holders. The incident occurred in March this year. Three suspects who posed as police officers broke into a household in Nancy, France, and attempted to force the victim to hand over cryptocurrency assets worth approximately 20,000 euros. Because the victim’s daughter called the police in time, the suspects ultimately failed to carry out the theft and drove away. The report said the information the suspects used to identify their target may have come from a data breach that occurred in January this year involving the French crypto tax filing platform waltio.
