When speaking about the United States, Ejei said that Iran absolutely does not trust the United States, and that this distrust is based on facts and past events. Iranian media reported on the 12th that Iran and the United States “may sign a memorandum of understanding in the next few days.” However, Iran–U.S. relations remain highly sensitive, and the two sides have differences on issues including nuclear matters and regional security.
