Draper: Quantum computing will break banks before Bitcoin
Tim Draper stated that the threat of quantum computing to Bitcoin is overestimated; traditional fiat currencies and banks face greater risks, and quantum computing could potentially topple the banking system first. He also said that the Bitcoin network can roll back to the most recent secure block through a hard fork, but it requires broad consensus among miners and nodes. Draper previously bought nearly 30k confiscated Bitcoins at about $632 each and is confident that Bitcoin will surpass the US dollar, predicting it will reach $250k within 18 months. There is still intense debate about the impact of quantum risks on Bitcoin.
